Aswathy Raveendran The book deals with a very important topic, the topic of loss, rarely explored in children's books. But there is something about the narrative which makes it a little difficult to make sense of. Especially the way the two adult characters, Ammi and Amma keep appearing in the narrative. Sometimes a reader wonders if Amma is saying Ammi's lines or the other way around. It might help to revisit the original persian version, and verify.
